Leighton's mixed-media painting, "Meditation Landscape", won first place in the painting category at the Council for the Arts August art show sponsored by The Mental Health Association of Franklin and Fulton Counties (MHAFF).
In 1979, former NASA scientist, Leighton Reeves Scott, began experimenting with a unique art medium. His mixed-media techniques produce paintings of incredible depth and complex color effects that draw the viewer into the works. Themes include imaginary planetary surfaces and galaxies. More recently his abstract works challenge us to think about care of our Earth. This is unique abstract art with a message. Search for #exNASAartist. He is the inventor of the Core Relational Intelligence Model.
